He's been compared with Luther Vandross, Donnie Hathaway, and James Ingram. If you asked Chris he would say he was also influenced by the JazzyPop sounds of Earth Wind & Fire, the Soulful R&B of the Commodores, and the vocal jazz styling of George Benson, all balanced with a healthy dose of Gospel.

Chris' musical roots were nurtured in the church, where he started singing at the age of four. By the time he reached college he was a member and featured soloist with the World renowned "Fisk Jubilee Singers."

A head-on collision with an eighteen-wheeler in 1997 helped Chris Blizzard decide to pursue a career in Music. His pursuit took the fast track when Chris was featured in a solo performance on BET Cable Network.  BET's National and International audiences soon learned Chris has the ability to deliver the message of a song subtly yet with great emotion. His range is rare . . . rising and lowering octave after octave effortlessly, with a power matched only by the passion of his heart.

Chris’ first solo recording, "Moonlight & Roses," which he also produced was released in January of 2001. A collection of ten original songs based on past relationships and romance. The Nashville Tennessean newspaper described it as “Lovey-Dovey Pop Soul.

In 2003, after performing as a soloist in 5 Molyneaux Entertainment Productions created for Celebrity Cruises, Chris developed a one-man show. He is highly sought after as a Headline Entertainer and has been dazzling audiences on Six-Star Cruise Lines and Five-Star Resorts ever since.

Chris released two projects in 2004. A Gospel CD “Songs My Grandmother Used To Sing,” and a boxed set “The Other Side Of Nashville,” containing 20 hit songs from the 60’s and 70’s, a "Live" Concert DVD, and a “Live” CD.

2008 saw the release of “It’s Christmas Time Again,” Chris’ first Christmas project featuring “Gerald Albright on Saxophone,” and “Bebe Winans”contributing background vocals. The CD includes holiday classics and two new songs for the season, “It’s A Silent Night (written by producer Billy Kidd)” and the title cut “It’s Christmas Time Again (written by Chris).”

Chris Blizzard is an international entertainer with a unique gift for communicating the passion of song, and an undeniable talent. He is poised to take the world by storm in 2011.
